One of the things I most appreciate about City Club is the commitment to discussion and debate. As many long-time readers probably know, or at least as I hope you know, I am deeply committed to the process of civic discussion about issues. I see it as a basic extension of our country's freedom of speech, and essential to the running of a republic.
