California Get-Away
We're taking advantage of some cheap airfare and hotel discounts and spending the weekend in San Diego with a couple friends! Saturday's weather doesn't look so good but today and Sunday look pretty nice. I'll post some pictures as warranted.
Chuck’s good TV
I like TV. Good scripted TV especially. I'd call Chuck good TV. Funny, witty, and fully embracing of its own hokeyness. Good old fun. (I'd reference you to Season 1 of Heroes). It's balanced pretty well between being episodic (ie, Law and Order) and advancing a central story line (ie, Lost). Despite that, know going in to it is that it's fully a boy show. Lots of guns, lots of women in lingerie. Also, its first few episodes are a little weak. Like 30 Rock, the show takes a little while to find its way. But once it does, it gets good.

They are just a lot of fun. International (you'll notice some Norwegians and Latvians in my photos below), beautiful (host cities Read more…
Lincoln Center Experiment at Lincoln High
“But they refused to kick me out. They thought I had potential.” Read the whole thing in the Tribune. It reminds me of an article I read recently in The Atlantic about a school testing the same concept, which I, of course, can not seem to locate anymore. Very cool.
Long walk to Proctor
We had a wonderfully long walk to Proctor this morning. The weather was unbeatable. Yesterday was beautiful too, but I was in an all day retreat and couldn't enjoy it like I could today. Hoping for a repeat tomorrow!
