Had to take my great laptop into the Apple Store tonight. Diagnosis: bad hard drive and it needs to be replaced.

With luck, SugarSync–the web product I use to sync my files on the web–will be able to restore everything to the computer. (Here’s hoping.)

But it does mean I may not have a laptop with me on my upcoming trip. That’s right, another trip! Mary and I are taking a long road trip to Lake Tahoe to have a reunion with some high school friends. We’ll be on the road all day Thursday and a few hours on Friday to get there.

I was prepared to have to do some work while there, but thanks to SugarSync, Google Docs and my iPhone, I just might be able to do my work while on the road. We’ll see!
