Email ‘n Walk at the same time …
Screenshot by Peter MayEmail ‘n Walk Sometimes an iPhone app comes along that seems crazy, but turns out to have redeeming values. This is just such a case. Email ‘n Walk does something amazing. Using your iPhone’s camera, it displays a live view of the world in front of you above a virtual keyboard. Now, in the spirit of walking and chewing gum, you can walk and send e-mails at the same time, while reducing the risk of stepping into traffic or falling flat on your face. via electronics.howstuffworks.com Fun and also helpful … 🙂

“HeartLand” Indeed
via strangemaps.wordpress.com “The heartland portrayed here is a very literal one, composed by cleverly arranging all 50 US states to have their oblique sides help form the outline of a giant heart. Texas’ pointy southern extremity represents the bottom part of the iconic heart-shape, while the slightly wedge-shaped top of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is very aptly chosen as the place where the tops of both heart halves merge. All in all, this picture is a very nice fit – considering that all states are drawn to the same scale.” — Strange Maps I think it’s pretty cool.

The SNL Mom Translator
via hulu.com Actually, I think my dad could use this, but for titles instead of celebrities. A quick primer: “Ride A Painted Ponies” = “All the Pretty Horses” “Paper Tiger, Rubber Snake” = “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” “Captain America Takes On Yakima” = Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. ” Although I’ve recently come to the conclusion that he actually remembers the title, but just has more fun making me guess what’s he talking about.
