Sailing the Ocean Blue
For some reason I've never gotten around much to talking about this online, but in the last week I've referenced my time with SEA often enough that I'm inspired to post on it. I had an incredible college experience with the Sea Education Association, based out of Woods Hole, MA. I would recommend it to anyone. I spent 6 weeks at their campus there in 2000 (January to mid-March; it was freezing cold) before flying down to Key West for an incredible six weeks aboard the SSV Westward, a 125' long schooner. Travel as a Political Act
I've read a smattering of articles and essays that deal with the philosophy of travel, so I was intrigued when Mary picked up Travel as a Political Act by Rick Steves. I picked it up as soon as she finished it. At the Common Roots Cafe in Minneapolis. Great night on the deck!

Yeah, I think I’m hooked
Blogger’s integration with Google will be hard to pass up. But if I’m using Gmail anyway, then isn’t that the same level of integration? Posterous is starting to seem like a good replacement, though. It’s the first the that I’ve really considered changing services. Mainly because it doesn’t feel like I’m just weighing WordPress vs. Blogger vs. Textpattern. But because it feels like it’s actually something new. And I’m intrigued by that. Anyway, I’m heading to Minnesota and Wisconsin for a week over the 4th. Computer connectivity will be limited. But since Posterous seems so well made to work with Read more…
