Long day on the road - Erik Hanberg

Long day on the road

So yesterday, we left South Lake Tahoe at 9:45 am. And we drove. And we drove. And we drove.

And at 11:15 pm, we arrived at home!

According to Google, it was a 774-mile day. Our route took us along the east side of the lake, through Reno, and then into the Lassen National Forest, which was most definitely a highlight and a beautiful route. From there we met up with I-5 in Shasta and … and the rest was just straight north.

It was a long day, but worth it to sleep in our own bed, and not have to wake up to a drive today.

Glad to be home!

I spent most of today getting back into the work world, which included the long process of restoring my laptop after it got a new hard drive installed.

In truth, it's never been as easy, thanks to MobileMe, Sugarsync, and Gmail. MobileMe had all my contacts and settings saved, Sugarsync has documents, and Gmail has the stored license numbers and passwords I need when I re-downloaded software.

I'm back up and running with a fully-functioning laptop. Feels pretty great!
