Madeline Island, WI 4th of July Parade
A small–but crucial–glitch made my old copy of iMovie almost unworkable for what I hoped to do with it today. And with a client expecting a rough-cut of a video tomorrow, I had to jump to iMovie '09 to get it done. It turns out the new version wasn't as bad as I'd feared. '08, the version that enraged users so much that Apple posted the previous version to mollify us, has been replaced by a much-improved '09 and I am really starting to see the benefits. Long day on the road
So yesterday, we left South Lake Tahoe at 9:45 am. And we drove. And we drove. And we drove. And at 11:15 pm, we arrived at home! According to Google, it was a 774-mile day. Our route took us along the east side of the lake, through Reno, and then into the Lassen National Forest, which was most definitely a highlight and a beautiful route. Beautiful snow! I hope it won’t make our drive out of here too difficult.
This wasn’t supposed to be a snow cabin … In fact it was a gorgeous fall day when we arrived. Now we’ve got a drive ahead of us. Our aim today is Eugene or Salem and we’ll drive the rest of the way back to T-Town on Monday. See the full gallery on Posterous
The Tahoe Lakeshore
Tahoe is surprisingly pretty and very blue (although that doesn’t show well intgis picture) You can see the casinos on the Nevada side in the picture.
